1st step is to use the MEP reader to get your mep code or 

To unlock your BlackBerry by PRD is easy by following these steps:
1- Power your BlackBerry Off.
2- Remove battery cover.
3- Remove battery.
4- Look for PRD-XXXXX-XXX number in the white label on the back. 

which is to be input into the blackberry calculator along side 

with the IMEI number of the phone..

after which the unlock codes would be generated...

1. Put a different sim
2. Go to settings. 
3. Go to options. 
4. Go to advanced options. 
5. Go to sim card. 
6. Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE or MEPD or MEPPE or MEPPD ( not case sensitive ) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing ). 
5. It will say "Enter Network MEP Code, then you type in the unlock code, press in the trackball to confirm. 

6. Your phone is now unlocked.
